WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching involves a partnership between YOU and your coach, together you identify your needs, wants and desires. And, you will develop strategies to Believe and Achieve Results to fulfill your desired goals. Our partnership is high energy and highly respectful of your ability to creatively problem solve. Through focused listening, thought provoking questions, and skilled feedback, a coach will help you to have greater clarity about what you want to achieve, and confidence in the action plans you design to meet your goals. Responsibility and Accountability are vitally important to the coaching partnership and to the success that the client will achieve. All information shared is 100% confidential!!

With regard to your Law School Career, Bar Exam, Legal Career and Life Goals, we will talk about the challenges you face and what you would like to achieve. Here is what we will do... explore challenges, clarify your goals, develop action plans to achieve results.

How is Coaching different from Psychotherapy?

Coaching focuses on needs, goals and action steps to achieve that which is important to you. The work is done as a partnership and oriented mostly in the present. Changes that you make can enhance the quality of your present and future. It is action oriented and less likely to deal with past pain. Psychotherapy aids people who are in distress from wounds and traumas that occurred in the past or continue in the present.

A coach respects that some worry is normal, encourages confidence that you can improve the quality of your career, relationships and life, inspires you to see your strengths, and empowers you to take an active role in defining your present and future.

Where we meet clients?

Though we very much enjoy meeting clients face-to-face, and this may be an option, we tend to use the telephone for coaching sessions. This allows us to be available to clients throughout the U.S. and abroad, and is especially helpful to clients who cannot travel to meet us. Telephone coaching works very well, especially if coaches and clients make certain that they talk in a quiet and private environment.

How long are coaching sessions and how often do you meet with clients?

Coaching sessions are 45-50 minutes long and we meet four to six times per month. How often depends on the client’s needs. Clients also have the opportunity to check in with me via e-mail between sessions.

How do I get started?

We offer prospective clients the opportunity to meet with us at no charge for a 20-minute telephone session. This will allow you to decide whether coaching is right for you.
